FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR

(FI)

Flight instructor rating is the first step to teach future pilots the fundamental theory revolving around flight and how to fly. The FI-student will learn how to conduct briefings and theory lessons as well as practical flight lessons. This course is the foundation for additional instructor ratings such as Class Rating Instructor (CRI) or Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) training.

The course consists of 125 hours of theory, of which 25 hours is Teaching & Learning (T&L). About 30 hours is home studies, such as lesson preparations.

The practical training consists of 30 hours and will be conducted in the schools’ aircraft.


Training duration: 2-3 months


Prerequisites:

hold valid Private Pilot License (PPL)
hold valid Medical class 2
hold valid Single Engine Piston (SEP) class rating

completed Commercial Pilot License (CPL) theory
