INSTRUMENT RATING INSTRUCTOR MULTI ENGINE

IRI (ME)

Instrument Rating Instructor training gives the pilot a good foundation to pass on his knowledge in instrument flying to future students and to do so safely and efficiently.

​

The course consists of 25 hours Teaching and learning (T&L), and an additional 10 hours of theory training covering lesson preparations and technical training.

​

The practical training consists of 10 hours in the aircraft.


Training duration: 3 weeks


Prerequisites:

hold valid private pilot license (PPL)
hold valid Medical class 2
hold valid Multi Engine Piston (MEP) class rating
hold valid Instrument Rating (IR)
and
have at least 800 hours of flight time under IFR (of which 400 hours must be in aeroplanes or;
have a valid FI and at least 200 hours of flight time under IFR (of which 50 hours may be in an FFS, FTD 2/3 or FNPT II)
