COMPETENCY BASED INSTRUMENT RATING

MULTI ENGINE CB-IR (ME)

Instrument rating for multi-engine aircraft is necessary to fly in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

The theory training consists of 80 hours distance learning with computer-based training material (CBT) from Civil Aviation Training (CAT). 10% of the course will be conducted at the Kungsair Training in Norrköping with instructors from the school.

The practical training consists of 45 hours of which 25 can be performed in our FNPT II simulator. The total time can be reduced based on previous experience.

Prerequisites for the course:

private pilot license (PPL)

medical class 2

valid Multi Engine Piston (MEP) rating

valid Night Qualification (NQ)
